Memories, in the corner of my mind

Alright everyone, let's hear about some memories as a family. Maybe some funny experiences, Spiritual moments, profound words, practical jokes or anything really! I'm always up for a trip down memory lane!

When the dog bites, when the bee stings, when I'm feeling sad... I simple remember my favorite things, and then I don't feel so bad!

Happy 60th!

Grandma & Grandpa just celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. Congratulations! You both are such great examples to us all individually and even moreso as a wonderful couple. Lots of love!

Family Get Together

We had a great get-together at Grandma and Grandpa's house this evening. It's always great to see everyone, and of course a special treat that Uncle Brent & Aunty Connie were there. We talked about the upcoming event next year, and I emphatically tried to get everyone committed to checking out our blog (if you're reading this, it worked, yeah! :) Well, Aunty Deb said that if I gave her the recipe to the cookie salad I brought she would check the blog, so here it is:

Cookie Salad

3 large tubs of Cool Whip (thawed)
1 large box of vanilla pudding
5 small cans of mandarin oranges (drained)
1 large can of crushed pineapple (drained)
2 sliced bananas
1 package of striped shortbread cookies

-combine cool whip, pudding mix, oranges, pineapple & bananas in large bowl
-crush cookies into bite size pieces and just before serving, fold into mixture
-ENJOY!

We are doing well. Our latest hobby is planting our garden (only 12' by 12' so it fills up fast) and planting perrenials and annuals.

Here's an idea...let's send Steve (or Debbie as Steve might insist, or any of their kids... or pets or even neighbors?!) on to the game show Jeopardy. He (or she) will win and then they can take us all on a luxury all espense trip somewhere nice. That's be great! What do ya think?
